Listen to a reading of this article: ❖ Today America celebrates its hard-fought victory in its fight to free itself from the rule of British monarchs so it could be ruled by US oligarchs. ❖ Hollywood trained us to fear psychopathic killers prowling around in the dark so we won't notice the psychopathic killers who rule our world in broad daylight.
I can't think of a more perfect emblem of the triumph of mass American propaganda than people gathering to watch colorful representational bombing, completely divorced from the actual bombing their government does as a matter of course; and when that violence happens to bleed back upon our shores as it did on 9/11, to not ask why, but instead to use their unfettered self-righteousness and towering ignorance to demand that their government not only further curtail their own freedoms, but to also demand that their government commit -- you guessed it -- more bombing.
We're a long way from the point of demanding people connect the dots; we're at the point of merely asking them to consider that dots exist. Those frigging red, white, and blue dots.
Excellent article and I think the vast majority of what you've pointed out has become self-evident to people who value truth and want to see beyond their conditioning. I think it would be beneficial to focus in more detail about who wrote western history books though, so as it doesn't seem like you're saying all western people are collectively dishonest or self-delusional.

Another great article full of truth from Caitlin

Happy July 4th Caitlin, despite all ...
...
Those that I fight I do not hate,
Those that I guard I do not love;
...
No likely end could bring them loss
Or leave them happier than before.
...
I balanced all, brought all to mind,
The years to come seemed waste of breath,
A waste of breath the years behind

USA!
I will not celebrate a United States where there is no economic justice
I will not glorify an America that built its wealth through genocide and slavery
I will not deify a government full of venal politicians
I will not be ignorant of a debt based economy that serves a very few and penalizes everyone else
I will not vaunt a military that is the largest and most powerful purveyor of terror on planet earth
I will not respect police who kill my Black brothers and sisters
This day I will not fly a flag
this day I will reflect on the reality of US
I will find my peace here and now
With no flags or borders to hold on to
God Bless
America

The only 4th of July I would celebrate is Ron Kovics's birthday (cf. Born on the Fourth of July, book and movie).
