Thanks again. You are the sharpest knife in the drawer. Ruffalo has lost any shred of credibility that he had. He reveals himself to be a card-carrying Clintonista. Israel does not have any "right to defend itself" from the very people it is committing crimes against humanity upon. Does the rapist have the right to "defend" himself from his rape victim? Do the bank robbers have a right to "defend" themselves from the bank employees and customers they are holding hostage? Do the concentration camp guards have a "right" to defend themselves from their captives? Like, Ruffalo, Israel has lost any claim to credibility or even legitimacy by its decades of unceasing daily crimes of apartheid and genocide.

Comparing American societies ability to hold our government accountable to a dementia patient being handled is a stroke of genius.

Always on target Cait. You're a treasure. We can do so little in this stultified corporate controlled culture, but we can at least raise our hands and voices for Palestinians, Haitians, BLM and so many other oppressed folks. "Cause we're freedom fighters, and we have no choice..." - Todd Rundgren

Oh so palestinians and their advocates being overtly antisemitic isnt a problem; its just the people who talk about it who are sabotaging the movement. Sure, a real palestine supporter just lets jews get beat up in their name without saying a word!

If today's establishment is good at nothing else, it is very good at figuring out whom to co-opt, whom to buy off, whom to neutralize, whom to ignore.

It's how, to name one example, Civil Rights activists, people who did genuinely heroic things, were neutered into machine politicians and Team D apparatchiks.

The circuit of well educated / well dressed / well spoken adults in the room doing conferences in nice places throughout the world to solve conflicts in the Middle East is resurrected.

I pray for my Israeli and Palestinian brothers and sisters.

When will Americans realize that almost 100% of what Caitlin references as "those institutions," like the federal government and the corporate media, tell them is BS opposed to the interests of the average American? Obviously, this is not limited to "Israel's right to defend itself." It includes virtually all pronouncements about foreign policy, but also the current endorsement of Critical Race Theory and its corrolaries: that all whites are racists and all blacks are victims whether they know it or not; the scapegoating of cisgendered, heterosexual white males as members of a supposed racist patriarchy while giving a pass to female, non-white members of that patriarchy as well as white males willing to scapegoat others as long as their own power is protected; that it is uniquely the United States' responsibility to protect human rights abroad by violating the human rights of those we are protecting; that there are no early, outpatient treatments for Covid-19 like Hydroxychloroquine and the even more effective Ivermectin, and nothing you can do to strengthen your immune system like taking vitamin D supplements, especially if you are dark-skinned; that anybody who questions authority (even if the annointed "authority" is a cisgendered, heterosexual white male) is a "conspiracy theorist."

So before we address the real structural problems like underfunded schools or fatherless homes that afflict all poor, powerless communities, let's fix that white racist problem. Before we address the inordinate power at the top of the hierarchy, let's make sure females and minorities get a "fair" share of the slots in the hierarchy. Before we end militarism entirely, let's make sure there are no dictators in the world who aren't ours. Before we tackle censorship, let's make sure to prevent "disinformation" that might lead people to "vaccine hesitancy."
