Amusingly, l had your titled conversation with my mother just last night. It hadn't dawned on her that her favorite NBC News anchor Brian Williams is where he is because he was self-selected to repeat propaganda in exchange for millions of dollars. I've highlighted the abusive relationship before. "Yeah, we lied before, and we're really sorry we promise never to do it again." Alexander Mercouris just released a video critiquing Blinken's defense of the "rules based order." Blinken acknowledged that the US has previously engaged in human rights abuses, but "this is now" and we're never going to do it again. Therefor, we have the right to judge other countries and intervene. While it's important not to throw away the underlying values that led to the abolition of slavery and the end of Jim Crow, we must not forget past violations of those values and deny the likelihood of current and future violations.

Good to see Caitlin also acknowledging that abusive relationship as well.

"" Saying "Caitlin I like your anti-war stuff but your anti-capitalist stuff is bad" is just saying "Caitlin I agree with you sometimes but other times I disagree with you." That's normal. That's supposed to happen. Congratulations on not living in an airtight echo chamber. ""
