This is far too accurate to be funny. I mean, I've literally seen you have this conversation on Twitter. Multiple times. People are so damn weird.

A sound dialogos remains the greatest tool for fostering and cultivating that inner voice of reason among others. Good stuff.

John: I mean yeah, if the CCP doesn't do it to us first. Did you know they're trying to take over the world?

Jane: They are?

John: Oh yeah! The Chinese want to take over the world and give us all a social credit score so we'll all think the same.

My favourite response: Have you looked at a map of the world? How many military bases does China have around the world? How many does the US have? How many of the US bases are around China’s perimeter?

Latest from Germany: In April of this year, Ursula Haverbeck, 93 years of age, was sentenced by the Berlin Regional Court to one year in prison without the possibility of of parole.

A prison sentence was "without alternative," the presiding judge of the Berlin Regional Court stated at that time in the pronouncement of the verdict. Not even a sentence of two and a half years in prison, which had already been served previously, would have Ursula impressed. "There is nothing that can stop you." Ursula, of course, appealed against this verdict. Today it became known that the Berlin Court of Appeal has rejected the appeal. Despite Ursula's high age (93 years), the court also ruled out a suspended sentence because Ursula had not shown any repentance or remorse.

Ursula's crime = she has only requested the court to provide proof of the Holocaust. Evidence was refused to her. For this repeated question she is now going to prison for the second time.

The prosecution announced that they would try to put Ursula behind bars again this fall.

Why complain about China - the terror is right infront of our doorstep.

I wonder when people like John will notice that the Chinese always look like they want to pat us on the head? And what do they think that indicates?

The 'problem' is, that the digital technology is intrinsically totalitarian. It is not even its 'goal' to exert absolute control. It comes along with it, as one of its characteristics. And there is neither any dependency on some form of political or order of life, nor a if the enterprise to implement and 'run' it is private or 'public', with the clandestine underbelly of what is called 'public', but is controlled by organized power.

You might 'like' it or not, since the digital technology rests on formal logic and logistic since Aristoteles hermeneutics and investigations about the linguistic form of the proposition, the technology is 'only' a physical or lingual (programming languages) implementation of, it must be conceded that it is exact science that is intrinsically totalitarian.

The firece resistance of old mountain or jungle civilizations against modernity and modernization, always denounced as irrational, has its reasons in the perception that the 'telos' of modernity is the liquidation of the concept of ('wo)man' that is the foundation of all premodern civilizations.

All this is not due to the scheming of sinister and treacherous leaders or elites. It is simply the consequence of all the achievements of the species homo sapiens, of the integral of all the successful attempts of the species to escape the hazards of the environment regarded to be hostile to the selfpreservation of the species, an urge invested by evolution of life in all of life, as its typical antientropic orientation, finally surrendering to entropy, with the delay of the trick of individuation, and the succession of generations with a restricted life span, to prolong the existence of the species.

The 'problem' here is, that the species has managed to escape the external control factors that were the guarantee for an equilibrium that held the consequences of its actions in check.

And the 'problem' this creates consists in the attempt to control it by means of more science, control, escape devices etc. It needs more control. The utmost if control is absolute control. This will transfer the hazards to the possible failure of a device that exerts absolute control, and it will concentrate everything on this breaking point, while the backfire effect is the denigrstion of individual life to be either object or agent of absolute control, in a hierarchy of control with the lowest position in the chain at the bottom of the pyramid absolute powerlessness, the individual just a cost factor in an economy of absolute control, similar to the intrinsic projects of plans to colonize Mars or Moon mainly supported by 'intelligent' machines and 'autonomous' robots with 'machine learning' capabilities.

It is the telos of the peculiarities of 'the intelligence' of the species, giving itself over to absolute denigrstion in exchange for shelter while the 'needs' of the species are extended with insatiable expectations.

The limit the laws of thermodynamics limiting the sun/planet/moon-system open to the vacuum, the species finds as the condicio of its existence.

So the ultimate control is still external and executed by the laws of thermodynamics. Be sure they are not open for free trade agreements.

The friend/enemy schema the cannibal predators are so obsessed with are in truth another control mechanism regulated by the laws of thermodynamics as far as conflicts rest (!) on the laws of thermodynamics that limit any 'economy'.

So for human beings not so much concerned with the imbecile idiot homo sapiens, there is not much to worry about the demise of the macroparasite. It was only homo sapiens, a plague of the planet.

This can be demonstrated as follows: Mars, Earth and Venus attend and interplanetary meeting. In a teapause Venus asks Earth: "How are things going?" Earth replies: "Not so good lately, I caught homo sapiens."

An organism infected by a malign micropsrasite raises temperature and inundates its system with floodings to wash out the parasite.

Don't tell me 'we' need to 'save the planet'. It is as if the virus of the current pandemia would recruit itself to be the savior of the organism he is preying on.

Clever but confusing for too many. Your point appears to support your main thesis that the Evil Empire is making China look bad through their propaganda. The power to control citizens has never been greater regardless of the country. China is ruthless in their application of control just as the U.S. has become. The common thread is technology and its control of a citizens money. Once the government has the ability to turn you off, prevent access to your bank account they have the power to label you an "enemy of the state" or "enemy of the people" or racist, etc.. In Rome when a citizen was labeled an "Enemy of the State", it was analogus to treason and death was the punishment, and in some cases citizens weres authorized to not only kill the person in question but anyone providing asistance or shelter. China has us by the balls, they make just about everything we need to sustain modern society and we provided them with the technology and tools to be our masters. This has nothing to do with the Chinese people or Americans but government power and the citizens historical reluctance to hold their power in check until it's too late.

I know that John here is sadly misinformed and it's no surprise that he'd also get this wrong, but with that said: the day that someone as imperialistic as Vaush qualifies as a lefty will be the day that there's less difference between left and right than ever.

I don't quibble with the obedience training in the US. And yet ... I am worried that China owns most of our Treasury bills which, with the petrodollar plummeting, will be worth less than gum wrappers EXCEPT for US real estate--residential properties, farmland, businesses. Saudi's going for the corporate stocks but much of our oil reserves have already been given to China by Biden. I don't see them just walking away from the US trade deficit we've been racking up for decades.

If you think propaganda supporting the U.S.'s stupid proxy war with Russia, or China's mass murdering spree and social credit score system is bad, read this:

It is disturbing to note that the greater portion of the public do not seem to be aware of the vast ideological movement for social transformation called the Great Reset. Those who are at least partially informed consider it merely another conspiracy theory. Some among the so-called elite—the media, the academy, the political stratum—consider the Great Reset as a rational and benevolent response to the specter of overpopulation and the threat of populist uprisings. Others among the patrician class, doubtless a majority, are engaged in promoting what they know to be a concerted attempt to destabilize and supplant the long-established order of ideally democratic governance that has slowly and incrementally characterized the liberal societies of the West, dating from the Magna Carta (1215) and the Peace of Westphalia (1648) to the approximate present.

We should make no mistake about this. The revolutionary project, whether denominated as the New World Order, the U.N.’s Agenda 2030, or the Davos-centered Great Reset—different terms for essentially the same impetus—under the influential leadership of Klaus Schwab is apocalyptic in its aims. It envisages a world in which the middle-class will have been expunged, the global census markedly winnowed, and a China-like social credit system introduced in which citizens will be under constant digital surveillance determining what they are allowed to possess, rent, use or spend.
