It's not just international laws. Domestic laws only apply to the plebs

Yesterday Biden called Putin a war criminal, which, particularly since 9/11, is a term that American actions have rendered meaningless. The levels of hypocrisy that America wallows in debases everything it touches.

Well written, Caitlin and a big thanks to David McBride. Every word from you both, SPOT ON.

The law is for all, not for the rest of the world to accept but ignored by the likes of Bush, Blair, Bolton, Clinton, all the Iraq war neocons, responsible as they were for leading the likes of Bush by the nose and killing millions; the top current holder of the danger man title, Blinken; the perfect example of US stupidity around for a second bout of inhumanity, Nuland; and the prize winner for devious dealings in the form of Cheney. What a collection.

You call them Americans? I don't and nor do millions of others. Over the years I have met some of the best people who I am proud to call my friends. They had…. and still have values, love their country and its achievements and respect the laws, knowing that they were made by better men in the past and every word still worthy of being the guidelines for the future.

What would they think of their country now?

Hey. Those arrogant individuals above, all but one, are all from the USA ..........dictated to by Israel, the AIPAC controlling masters of both houses of the US government, with almost all the subservient politicians dancing to their tune. What a humiliation that must be for all the decent thinking people in that country. When they vote, they know it means absolutely nothing when compared to the graft money from the Zionists in the USA. In return, they get billions to give to their masters in Tel Aviv, armed as they are with 400 nuclear weapons, technology probably stolen by some Israeli spy like Pollard when he was masquerading as an American citizen like so many others of his ilk, rewarded now as a hero for his spying actions, his country, being Israel.

I wonder how they can look their wives, husbands, sons and daughters in the eye and recite the words of those highly respected foundling fathers, so long ago, when nothing on which America was built on then is around in this day and age.

And that's the biggest problem in the world today. What America has become under these total misfits.

If the Nuremberg international laws and protocols were meant to ensure the prevention of subsequent atrocities, it has failed; and if the intention was thereby to ensure world safety, and change the direction we are headed to ultimate annihilation, it has failed. In fact any talk of safety and fairness under the circumstances constitutes Theatre of the Absurd. You even have malevolent clown war criminals like GW Bush and Blair, both of whom would be serving long prison sentences in a half-sane sane world, freely giving advice on procedure in this crisis, and calling Putin names. In a sane world they never would have achieved any kind of power. It's unprecedented. Or maybe it just seems that way because the ante is at max this time.

Since WWII, the US has invaded and bombed only poor, 3rd World Nations and couldn't get a win in any of them with the most expensive military force in the History of Nations, killing MILLIONS in the process.

The frantic exit from poor Afghanistan after a 20 year occupation and $2 TRILLION spent is just the latest humiliation of that great power as a Sign of God's Judgment on America.

Where was the commendation by the same people calling Putin a murderer with the last violent Act we know about, when a US drone killed the Civilian family of 10, including 7 children in Kabul? No American is held accountable.

As for the 'Most Christian America' Religious Establishment, The Christ may have been singling them out as recorded, You hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,

This people draws close to me with their mouth, and honours me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

As much as the US Religious Establishment cites the Bible saying it must be followed, they are silent on this most significant line in their Bibles, "'Not by military force and not by physical strength, but by My spirit,' says the Lord of Hosts." as the US is the BIGGEST ARMS MERCHANT in the History of Nations, arming and supplying many Dictatorships worse than Russia without criticism especially for SAWdi Arabia, the BIGGEST Customer of US weapons of Death and Destruction having killed more Civilians in Yemen supported and facilitated by the US than have been killed in Ukraine.

There was no US outrage when the Ukraine government killed over 14,000 Russian speaking Ukrainians in the Donbas since the 2014 US Coup/regime change of the Elected Russian friendly government, installing a Neo-Nazi anti-Rusian government.

There's no equivalent outrage over that because the US/NATO controls the War Propaganda narrative, silencing all dissenting voices, the very same Evil they accuse Putin of doing.

THE NATIONS ARE ANGRY……

Russia is angry. The US is angry. Ukraine is angry. The 30 NATO Nations are angry. China is angry, The People are angry, and hatred is on the increase.

John Bolton is like the itch you can't scratch, the itch that needs to be cut out, excised, to be disappeared for good.

The hypocrisy displayed by the US leadership, and the corporate(MSM) media barking dogs seems to be almost infinite in their hubris and denial of the obvious--their support for the neo-Nazis that Russia is after, ya know, the ones installed by the US in the 2014 coup under the auspices of Obama/Biden/Clinton/Neuland. My how convenient dementia actually is--by all parties involved in the propaganda pushing for an all out war with nuclear armed Russia. We never seem to get the view of the other side so we can determine what's really going on in Ukraine. I do feel for all the civilians killed, just like the millions killed by Empire in the Afghanistan/Iraq/Syria/Libya coups, bombings, and invasions this century. (Never mentioned in the MSM.)

While the historical discussion re: how we’ve allowed some political elites to escape retribution for their illegal transgressions, that does not bind us to the notion that we cannot change things and start to hold the powerful accountable. A famous jurist (Oliver Wendell Holmes) once said: “A page of history is worth a pound of logic.” Sometime we need to have our focus jarred by historical wrong doings, before we change the law or start enforcing one. Let this conflict be the catalyst for change. Let’s put all leaders on notice: “that might is no longer right.” And, from now going forward , the whole world will use its peaceful means to disempower aggressors. Together we can incentivize peace and harmony & disempower hate & war.

Law is nothing but a tool for the power to rule and dominate, domestically or internationally. you can analyze and debate legality until the cows come home. it means nothing and nothing changes, until people choose justice (democracy = equal respect for all humanity) as the social base.

I loved Russell's laugh when he read the sentence, "They are free as birds, singing their same old demonic songs from the rooftops." I'm quoting this essay in the Substack I'm writing now on Yanis Varoufakis saying, "we must say it out loud: Putin is a war criminal whose campaign sits in the same category as the Hitler-Stalin invasion of Poland or the US invasion of Iraq in 2003." Maybe like Bush, we'll see Putin condemned by the Hague to house arrest and watercolors.

not all wars are equal. the NATO/vassals wage imperialist wars while the rest of world try to defend themselves from the aggression.

the capitalist-imperialist-zionist (i know they are the same thing) aggressors call self defense terrorism and soverignty the radical ideology. their system of exploitation and dominance can't survive if/when the colonies are independent and soverign. simple.

not all violence is the same either. Israhell is a land-thieving genocidal bullshitters, while the Palestinians, who have historically done no harm to the jews, are pure victims but their resistance is terrorism. of course, thinking that is an "anti-semitic" thought crime, according to the zionists.

BDS everyday, in every fucking way possible, until the last zionist packs up and leaves Palestine!

You know, there is this doctrine in law...called "Doctrine of Ultra Vires"....whereby high handed extra-legal actions are nullified because they are exceeding the powers granted under fair law.....somebody in the legal community should claim this on a lot of the bogus Imperial uses!
