Your point is valid on the matter of the insanity of congress going along with a deranged weapons culture - but in order to face that we have to face what instruments the world has established to replace the weapons culture - and the outfits like NATO have tried to scuttle or at least de-emphasize for decades. These are the Culture of Peace initiative that UNESCO worked on in the 1990s culminating in International Year for the Culture of Peace 2000 and the action program to make choosing peace easier than the resort to war that was to follow. Great writers like Caitlin would be enabling the people of the world to get back on track with replacing the weapons culture if this could have gotten some coverage.
And the last time anybody funded anything remotely similar to a leftist political campaign, it worked overwhelmingly, and so had to be, as Churchill stated, "smashed."
