Haven't voted for either wing of the political duopoly for 30 years (starting with Perot in '92), except duped in '08 by Obama. So I feel qualified and compelled to note how many of my neoliberal acquaintances often bemoaned Trump as an embarrassment to the US. But Biden's not, in the opinion of this delusional crowd. Beyond this obvious denial is the key point that you make here, namely that the president is a figurehead, a puppet of his or her capitalist masters. And that federal elections are largely meaningless indulgences into celebrity-style popularity contests, battles of bloated bullshit backed by the big moneyed interests who actually run this insanely deceptive illusion of a first-world society with a dysfunctional sociopolitical system that is really not very much better than those of third-world countries run by authoritarian dictatorships. Actually, it's probably worse because that endless river of sweet-sounding BS creates the illusion of logical governance, which so many willingly buy into to assuage their personal angst.

I read an article this AM saying how that the two largest owning groups, or investment firms, Blackrock and Vanguard, also own the major media, and, that also owns the big pharma. Vanguard is super secret, IOW, it's takes lots of time to dig out the major investors. Blackrock is the one most folks know of. Vanguard includes the Rothschild's, the Bush's, Rockefeller's, banks, etc. Literally $trillions of capital. They control the COVID narratives; the *vaccine* narratives, the purging of cheap, readily available medicine that helps greatly to allay the severity and actual hospitalizations.
