50,000 people attended the peace rally in Berlin yesterday which was organized by German politician Sahra Wagenknecht of The Left party. It's a start, there's more to come.

"In fact, it is fair to say that there has never in history been a time when the need to forcefully oppose the warmongering of our own western governments was more urgent."

And never in recent history has there been a time in which the antiwar movement was more thoroughly neutered.

Victoria Nuland is a psychotic karen. Just like Lynne Tracy. Gotta love diverse warmongering!

It's bad enough for the world's most powerful nation to have one Dr. Strangelove in its war industry, but the United States' government is composed entirely of Dr. Strangeloves. This is why America's national elections are completely meaningless. Nothing short of direct revolt by the people has a snowball's chance in hell of changing anything, and even that might not be enough at this point. Hug your loved ones close while you still can.

Q. I would like to join an anti-war movement. I live in Kansas City. Does anyone have any suggestions? While I would prefer meeting face-to-face, I am happy to also join something online.

Unfortunately no one gives a damn anymore.

Not to minimize the risk of nuclear war, I'd like to believe that Victoria Nuland does not speak for the President (or the Pentagon). In any event, Russia has, and will always have, "escalation dominance," and the war will end when Russia is ready for it to end.

At the same time, "Consortium News" has a piece by Joe Lauria which reports on certain NATO leaders, including Emmanuel Macron, informing Zelensky that victory is not a possibility for Ukraine and that it is time for him to seek some sort of negotiated settlement. At a minimum, this suggests that the fracture lines in the NATO alliance are getting wider--a good thing. I expect that Germany and Italy, among other nations, will be looking for an off-ramp soon.

Well, one big last super shot of vitamin D.

Not funny. But think about this. Governments own the media. Protests in Europe against the war are not covered despite thousands of people protesting

Now being a boomer I remember when protests of this size garnered a lot of attention.

Nowadays, not so much.

We need our media returned to us.

How reliant is the U.S. on China for all the crap we use? Including pharmaceuticals.

Nothing the Biden administration has done makes any sense unless their plan is assured destruction of America.

Since the U.S. hasn't won any wars since WWII (correct me if I'm wrong) and is losing their proxy war to take down Russia, destroying yet another country in the process, I'd not bet any money on a U.S. win if they launch WWIII.

This whole situation is just incomprehensible, immoral and sickening. Except for Roger Waters, not particularly encouraged by the line-up in the anti-war protest.

"We need to start organizing against those who would steer our species into extinction, and working to pry their hands away from the steering wheel if they refuse to turn away."

Amen. We might even need to divert the car onto a side road and rip the keys out of the ignition or shoot out the tires. Figuratively, that is. Non-violent action such as protests, sit ins, lie ins/die ins can work if we all can get on the same page and work in concert together. Now is not the tame to quibble with each other over non-important issues. If you want to save the world from nuclear annihilation--you're with us! Give peace a chance!

The sheep are too divided to get out and march and the Congress us too bought off to be influenced by the likes of mere citizens. But what the hell. Might as well do a Greta—march by myself until someone else joins me. Got nothin better to do! 🥰😆🤪😸

Unfortunately, if the majority of the population in the Western bloc countries only get their information from the pro-government press, and that uncritically, we are not about to see a mass peace movement emerge. I just read an article in Foreign Policy: "U.S. Deterrence Failed in Ukraine". The title seems to suggest a critical and reasonable reading of American foreign policy. But it does not. This article, written by two former Special Forces colonels (i.e., guys who have spent their careers losing wars and occasionally perpetrating a few war crimes thousands of miles from the U.S. border), denounces the successive administrations of Obama, Trump and even Biden. "Peaceful America has been too patient and kind to bloody Russia. It refused to arm Ukraine when it was attacked as early as 2014 by that madman Putin." This is in essence what these two colonels write. It is a matter of psychiatry to lie so much when you are an adult. It's been more than 30 years that the United States has been caught up to its elbows in the jelly pots but no, it's not them, it's the others. They can't possibly believe their lies. (Although, with some of the military, you have to expect the worst.) So what? Are they so locked into their ideological logic that makes them believe in the necessity of a world government of liberal essence controlled by Washington that they cannot face reality? Or is their reality that only a headlong rush to world war could get them out of the impasse into which more than thirty years of blindness of every kind has led them? Beyond the fact that a new world war would be very likely to be nuclear and therefore the last one, due to the lack of combatants on all sides, these brilliant Western strategists (politicians, academics, military) seem to be unaware of the fact that neither the first nor the second world war solved the problems.

This is really a scary time. I have contacted my reps many times and unfortunately they are all warmongers and seem to either not have a clue or outright don't see a problem with the continuation to nuclear Armageddon. When I mention over and over the path to nuclear Annihilation is not the one we want they don't even acknowledge it! The scripted response is always "I believe in a strong America that can protect against the aggressions of other countries". I ask what happened to diplomacy and there is silence! They must have some serious bunkers and I have heard especially from Bill Gates that they want to thin the population. This doesn't look good for us. I want to say one thing about the "alleged insurrection" I think it was a planned operation to batten down the hatches in preparation for the real thing in order to know what to do if people actually got together to remove them!

Sad to say, but if those in charge of Iran would like for Iran to continue to exist, complete with Iranians, they need to be cranking up to a level higher than North Korea a nuclear program capable of doing MAD-type destruction on its attackers. And then, announce it. With twisted gleams in their eyes, while staring straight at Netenyahu. That tactic has, so far, worked pretty well for the North Koreans. It sure couldn’t hurt. If they don’t, they’re doomed. This is where we are now. Sigh. Beating head on table.

There is absolutely zero reflection by US elites - they are consumed in their self righteous bubble - a form of insanity.

They are totally impervious to reality or criticism. Deep Delusion.

I don't know that its any better amount so called "progressives".

Kind of like climate catastrophe of the mind and spirit.
