It is a somewhat misleading to assume the US is a single entity, acting with an absolute unity of purpose and goals. It is a useful illusion when understanding the "what" of events as they unfold, but that causes the "why" of those events to disappear or to be discussed in such broad terms talk becomes meaningless. The components of US society should always be remembered. Of those components the one that has the power to actually "do" something is the Oligarchy. The Oligarchy is not a monolithic horde, but they control the Republican and Democratic Parties, which distract the population with phony issues like Critical Race Theory, LGBTQ issues and Abortion, while they funnel ever more wealth to their Oligarchic Benefactors.
Until the Oligarchy is destroyed, nothing will change. We need to go beyond just Gates, Musk and Soros, but also identify the Oligarchs who live in Ukraine and Kazakhstan who have bribed our politicians so they might continue to steal the wealth of their nations.
Regarding human nature, I see the best and worst of it as just that: humans are social animals and therefore empathy and cooperation are in our DNA, however, so is folly, greed, violence, and territorialism. Slavery in the Americas didn't start with Columbus. Claiming that only benevolent impulses constitute who we are I find a problematic proposition. (This in no way means I endorse the enactment of said darker impulses; an alcoholic is still an alcoholic but can choose to no longer drink.)
Other than this one quibble, another outstanding series of insights.

Seeing the tracks of historical revisionism being laid in real-time is a surreal experience and it is indeed necessary to be in those spaces to call it out. I've started writing some of my own commentary about the actions of local government here in my home province in Canada with regard to the pandemic, as a counterpoint to a very influential network of consent manufacturing primarily owned by established oil & timber interests which control all of the major newspapers. The propaganda matrix is real indeed. Be well!

Unfortunately, Caitlin continues by demonizing "fringe social media" and accusing those of us familiar with such platforms of "ignoring" mainstream (corporate) media. First, you can't pay attention to "fringe social media" without being aware of what's presented on corporate media, because what "fringe social media" largely talk about is the lies presented on corporate media. Second, corporate media platforms increasingly have comments turned off, so it's not possible to stay there and "disrupt establishment narratives where you can be seen." Sure, I continue to watch select YouTube videos and comment. Occasionally, Jimmy Dore says something dumb and needs to be corrected, as does Caitlin herself. I chip around the edges.
I just watched a video by Pam Popper in which she says the end of the pandemic will not be announced. It will be over when we stop paying attention, when we simply stop wearing masks to do our grocery shopping and start socializing again. Amen. Yeah, when we stumble on media screeching about the Jan. 6 "insurrection," "white privilege," "the pandemic of the unvaccinated" or any such nonsense that happens to have comments enabled, it's worthwhile to drop a reality bombshell here and there and remind people of the Bill of Rights. But we also need to recognize all of this as Empire turned inward and pay attention to continued imperial actions such as the attempted color revolution in Kazakhstan.
The US is not a sovereign country and is set to be totally destroyed. We are seeing the formation of a one world government we speak. The US against Russia and China is a part of the game to start the War to complete the demolition of the current world order ( or whatever is left of it) A New order will emerge out of chaos they are deliberately creating.
