I gotta be laughing about this. If UFO's exist, surely they are not populated with anything like idiot humans. Want to share some thoughts about Greer, as I've been following his work for 20+ years. Nearly 30 years ago I had a conference recording job that covered the UFO topic quite heavily. Was amazing listening to so many different theories of reality... some of which I later realized was most likely straight-up disinfo. However, I think Greer is one of the most upstanding and consistent people in the space. I read the Wash Examiner article you linked to, which was rather thin in terms of discrediting him. Was a bit surprised to see you make such a definitive statement as "known fraud" based on just one article.
Greer's basic position could be summarized as thus... shortly after the conversion of the OSS into the CIA, a power cluster within the security establishment spirited away all of the evidence into black box, off budget projects, classifying everything above Top Secret. The reason was simple -- protect the fossil fuel regimes. Greer says that is the main reason for secrecy on the topic, not anything like the shock of realizing we're not alone in the universe. I think this theory tracks quite well with everything we know about the fossil fuel sector, whether it was Standard Oil supplying both sides in WW2 or the Iraq + Ukraine escapades in more recent times.
Beyond the socio-political aspect of the UFO phenomenon, I think you'd also resonate quite deeply with Greer's philosophical positions, which is that everything is about consciousness. He's led thousands of contact events and has a massive photo and video collection; the protocol is all about raising consciousness within a group as it forms a sort of "contact antenna" (my words) which ET craft and their inhabitants can detect. Makes total sense to me that advanced civilizations would be primarily focused on consciousness and would be extremely well developed in this regard.
